Nitroglycerin ointment 0.4% is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain associated with chronic anal fissure. Nitroglycerin ointment is a nitrate vasodilator indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain associated with chronic anal fissure ( 1 ).
