The date after which a drug listing lapses unless the labeler renews it in the FDA's annual listing cycle.
Listings must be certified every year. A product that is still on shelves but whose labeler failed to recertify drops out of the current NDC Directory, which can cause claim edits to fail even though the drug is real and dispensed.
